BIO

I grew up in Edmonton.

I’m an Oilers fan through and through.

I moved to Montréal, met a girl, and followed her to Winnipeg.
We were only supposed to stay in Winnipeg for a year.

We got married, bought a house with a red door, and ended up staying for twelve.

Nearly twenty years later, I moved back to Edmonton, just a stone’s throw away from where I grew up.

I’m happy our house has a wood stove and a big garden.

And a red door of course.

Some of my favorite things:
  • sports
  • playing guitar
  • a good bowl of noodles
  • travelling
  • friendships that endure over time and great distances.
I found my first gray hair when I was 18.

Then I became a father and all that’s left is gray hair.

Some days I want to hug my kids. Other days I want to throttle them. But watching them grow into the remarkable people they are has been the most rewarding experience in my lifetime.

When I’m not being a photographer, I’m usually…
  • tending the garden
  • tending the bees
  • hounding my kids
  • chasing a frisbee
  • enjoying a snacky snack.
I love hockey, but I’m a much better shot with a camera than a hockey stick.
This was supposed to be a hobby. But it became something more. And I’m glad it did.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you like the pictures.
